I first discovered Ray Kurzweil when I was working on a speaker authentification technology project at university.  In addition to funding a ton research in voice recognition innovation, Kurzweil has written a number of mind-blowing books and articles on the concept of singularity.

The feature in this month’s Wired Magazine, Futurist Ray Kurzweil Pulls Out All the Stops (and Pills) to Live to Witness the Singularity, is a compelling read if you’re intrigued at all by the topic.
